Born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt, Panayoti Bachkangi embarked on a remarkable journey in the medical field. After completing his education at the Greek school, he pursued his medical studies at the esteemed Alexandria University, where he honed his passion for obstetrics and gynaecology. Eager to further expand his knowledge and skills, he ventured to England to pursue advanced medical training.
In 2017, Bachkangi's dedication and expertise were acknowledged as he became a valued member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. His commitment to academic excellence and research led him to obtain his PhD from the University of Leicester in 2018. Notably, Bachkangi also holds certification as a Menopause specialist, accredited by the esteemed British Menopause Society.
Presently, Bachkangi serves as a revered consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Trust. While maintaining his clinical responsibilities, he continues to engage in academic work and has contributed significantly to the medical field through numerous publications, international presentations, and lectures. Bachkangi also provides formal supervision and guidance to doctors throughout their clinical and post-graduate academic training, nurturing the next generation of medical professionals.
