Prof. Dr. Erdal Dursun honored with the prestigious Certified Professorship Award by QAHE

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Erdal Dursun, the Founding Rector of the International Science and Technology University, has been honored with the prestigious Certified Professorship Award by the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE). This esteemed recognition is a testament to Prof. Dr. Dursun's exceptional contributions to education and his unwavering commitment to quality assurance in higher education.

Prof. Dr. Dursun's educational journey began at Çankaya University, where he graduated with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in English. Since then, he has embarked on a remarkable career in academia, leaving a profound impact on the field.

With a master's degree in his field in 2009 and a doctorate degree in 2014, Prof. Dr. Dursun further expanded his expertise by pursuing post-doctoral studies at the "Southern University Institute of Management Business and Law."

Throughout his career, Prof. Dr. Dursun has held key positions in prestigious institutions and organizations. Notably, he served as an Electronics Engineer and Technical Inspector at the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, General Directorate of Civil Aviation, from 2009 to 2013. His contributions to capacity building, sectoral cooperation, and global market access for higher education institutions have been invaluable.

In addition, Prof. Dr. Dursun played a pivotal role as the Founding President of the Turkish Aviation Safety Association, actively advancing safety standards within the aviation industry.

Prof. Dr. Dursun's commitment to higher education and international cooperation is evident through his roles as Secretary General of Istanbul Rumeli University, Istanbul Esenyurt University, and his contributions as a writer and page manager at Turkey Newspaper, promoting the visibility and recognition of Turkish higher education.

As an accomplished researcher and author, Prof. Dr. Dursun has made significant contributions to his field. His publications include two books, six book chapters, twelve scientific articles (nine international and three national), and six academic papers. In recognition of his outstanding research and scholarly achievements, he was awarded the title of professor in 2023.

Under Prof. Dr. Dursun's leadership, the International Science and Technology University has actively supported the "Disabled and Disadvantaged Groups" policies of the United Nations and the Council of Europe, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and inclusivity in education.
