Legal requirements & Labeling of food products | Online Training


Course Duration: 7 hours

Course Objective
This training program provides participants with a thorough understanding of regulations and legal requirements for food products in different countries including Lebanon, Europe, Gulf and USA, enabling them to interpret and apply these requirements accurately in any food industry for both local and international trade. The course will also cover mandatory labeling elements such as allergen labeling, nutritional and health claims, Nutrition facts calculation, ingredients and food additives and more.
Participants will also understand the difference between labeling requirements in different countries and learn how to access all types of legal documents.
By the end of this program, the participants will be able to check the compliance of any food product with legal requirements in the country of destination and prepare labeling information as appropriate.

Prerequisites
Having basic knowledge in food science, or at least 1-year of working experience in the food industry is preferable for participants to fully benefit from this course

Course Format
The course is divided into eleven (11) chapters. Each chapter begins with oral presentation depicting the theoretical notions followed by group or individual practical work or case studies. At the end of training, a final exam will take place in order to provide the participant with a certificate of achievement.
