Nov 10, 2023

We are delighted to announce that Islamic Azad University, UAE Branch has received QAHE accreditation. IAU-UAE Branch holds accreditation from Iran's Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology (MSRT) and the Dubai Government's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). The institution has been dedicated to providing quality higher education in disciplines such as architecture, management, and law.

Islamic Azad University is globally recognized as the third-largest university in terms of student enrollment. Established in 1982 as the first private post-revolutionary Iranian university, it was a crucial response to the country's growing population and the pressing need for higher education. To date, IAU has graduated millions of students, and it currently serves 1.7 million students across its branches.

IAU operates through a centralized management system, which has played a significant role in its extensive growth. The university relies solely on tuition fees and occasional donations, as it does not receive any government funding. Under the leadership of Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, the current president, IAU aims to enhance the quality of education and foster a knowledge-based economy by striking a balance between centralized and decentralized decision-making.

IAU-Dubai's commitment to delivering quality education and its alignment with our vision for internationalization and quality improvement have contributed to the approval of your accreditation. We believe that your institution's successful experience in higher education infrastructure development and your efforts towards standardization and quality assurance will benefit the entire IAU network.
